An Indian passport photo is 35 × 45 mm (3.5 × 4.5 cm) with a plain light background. A US visa or OCI photo is 2 × 2 inch (51 × 51 mm). Both should be printed at 300 DPI. This free tool crops your photo to either size and lays out up to 30 copies on one A4 sheet, ready to print and cut.

Different countries specify different dimensions, and getting them wrong is the most common reason applications get rejected. The two sizes below cover the large majority of Indian and international requirements.

Both sizes are rendered at 300 DPI, which is the resolution print labs expect. A photo saved at screen resolution (72 DPI) will look fine on your phone and come out soft and pixellated on paper — that difference is exactly why so many home-printed passport photos get returned.
Most authorities want a plain white or light-coloured background with no shadow behind the head. Stand an arm's length away from the wall to avoid casting one.
The head normally needs to fill roughly 70–80% of the frame height, centred, with a little space above the hair. Use the guide overlay as a starting point.
Face the camera directly with a neutral expression, mouth closed and both eyes open and visible. No smiling in most passport and visa specifications.
Remove hats, caps and tinted glasses. If you wear spectacles, make sure the frames do not cover your eyes and there is no flash reflection on the lenses.
Soft, front-facing daylight near a window beats a camera flash. Avoid hard shadows across one side of the face and blown-out highlights on the forehead.
Photos are usually expected to be from the last six months and to reflect your current appearance, including facial hair and hairstyle.
Requirements do change and vary between countries and departments. Before submitting anything important, confirm the current specification on the official website of the issuing authority — for Indian passports that is the Passport Seva portal.
The generated sheet is a standard A4 page (210 × 297 mm) with a 5 mm outer margin and a 3 mm gap between photos, so there is room for scissors or a paper trimmer. Each photo is outlined with a thin cutting guide.
If you are printing at a photo shop, hand them the PDF and ask for a single 4×6 or A4 glossy print — you get several dozen passport photos for the cost of one. If you are printing at home, choose Actual size or 100% scale in the print dialog. Leaving it on Fit to page shrinks everything by a few millimetres and the photos come out the wrong size.
The cropping, background fill, resizing and A4 layout all run in JavaScript in your own browser. Your photo is never uploaded to Intech Global Solutions, and nothing is stored after you close the tab. The one exception is optional background removal: if you choose to use it, that single image is sent directly from your browser to remove.bg under your own API key, and their privacy policy applies to that request.

Almost always because the print dialog is set to Fit to page, which scales the sheet down to fit the printer's margins. Switch to Actual size or 100% scale and disable any "shrink oversized pages" option.
Print size is derived from the physical dimension and the target print resolution, not guessed. At 300 DPI there are 300 ÷ 25.4 = 11.811 pixels per millimetre, so:

Photograph specifications are set by the issuing authority and do change. This tool produces the correct dimensions, but the composition rules — background colour, head coverage, expression, whether spectacles are permitted — must be checked against the current official guidance for the document you are applying for.
